ELECTION INFORMATION AND VOTING DATES</span#x3E;
This is an official notice of the upcoming election affecting residents of Accomac. On Tuesday, November 3, 2026, voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballot for:
All Voters are asked to provide a valid ID at the time of voting or they will be asked to sign an ID Confirmation Statement to vote a regular ballot.
IMPORTANT ELECTION DATES AND DEADLINES FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2026 GENERAL AND SPECIAL ELECTIONS
September 18, 2026: First day of In-Person Early Voting at Voter Registration Office, 8:30 AM – 5 PM
October 12, 2026: Office Closed in Observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Holiday
October 18, 2026: First Day of In-Person Sunday Voting, 11 AM – 5 PM
October 23, 2026: Deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail. Requests must be received in the Voter Registration Office by 5 PM
October 23, 2026: Deadline to Register to Vote or Update Registration (voters may register after this date and vote using a provisional ballot)
October 24, 2026: First day of In-Person Saturday Voting, 8:30 AM – 5 PM; First Day of Same Day Registration (SDR)
October 25, 2026: Second Day of In-Person Sunday Voting, 11 AM – 5 PM
October 31, 2026: Second day of In-Person Saturday Voting and Last Day to Vote Early In-Person, 8:30 AM – 5 PM
November 3, 2026: Election Day at Your Local Polling Place only, 6 AM – 7 PM (voters cannot early vote at the Registrar's office)
Note: Curbside voting is available during Early Voting and on Election Day. A ballot drop box is located in the parking lot of the Voter Registration office during Early Voting; precincts are drop-off locations for absentee ballots on Election Day.
